I am a huge proponent of artists having
web-presence. I get a handful of emails every month from people
all over the world checking out my site and specifically the Treadle
Wheel section. My friend Simon Levin was flown to East Timor to
build a kiln, because he had a good web page!!
All artists should have some presence online.
Somewhere where people can get a feel for what sort of work that
they are doing. I think that affordable web-presence is
the only way to do that. I like to play an active role as an artist-web-missionary and if you have any inhibitions in getting your site set up or hosted or design work, please feel free to contact me. If I can advise you of anything it is this: GET THY WORK ONTO THE WEB!. Make it look nice, make your site simple to navigate (no easter eggs, no whirling or flashing images, no miles and miles of text without something yummy to look at, etc.).
Cheers
Lloyd
