Vases Teapots Tableware Large Pieces Doumbek

Most of these items are available for sale.

These are the two drums that I first made in an attempt to begin making a Doumbek style drum.
I have made about a half dozen drums since these first ones and the style has sayed simmilar but has also gotten much better in my oppinion. Currently I use free roaming Elk rawhide that has been proccessed by hand by a native american tribe in Oregon. You can see the variation in the skin for where the artisan's knife skinned the animal and removed the fur. I use all natural sisel rope and hand splice the ends to form the roops and rings that tension the rawhide head.
